A site about my experiences with the ultimate cycling machine. The Merlin Fat Ti XL. I have waited for 20 years to own it and now I’m so chuffed by its looks and performance that I want to share it with all people interested.

It was never my ambition to have a bike with titanium frame, but I have always tried to get the best possible pieces for the respective purpose. During my studies I had the great pleasure to work in a bike shop, which allowed me to have access to the best cycling material available. I know Dani from Cyclone Zurich for over two decades now, since I helped him tearing down walls of his shop to increase showroom space back in 1998.

He made sure I learned all important facets of the trade by teaching me the mechanical part and also the commercial features. His knowledge about mechanics are more than sound, it’s these commercial features which in his case are backed by ultimate professionalism and knowledge of the stuff he sells.

Now he kindly permits, that I use his shop for wrenching on my own bikes. Also a big thanks to Nina and Peter, who are more than willing to share their experience with me.
